  2019 ALL-GNAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Isaiah Carbajal, Central Washington, DL, So., Vancouver, Wash. (Mountain View),...Carbajal was a force alongside Greer on the defensive line as he set career-high in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks. He started all 11 games at defensive end for the Wildcats and was one of the GNAC's best in the trenches. He finished third in the GNAC in tackles for loss with 10.0 and was fifth in sacks with 4.0. He was fourth on the team in total tackles with 53 (18 solo, 35 assisted). He also forced one fumble and had two quarterback hurries on the season. He set a career-high in tackles with seven in three games, and had a career-high in sacks with 2.0 against Azusa Pacific on Oct. 12, respectively. (Oregon State Univ.),...Hunt was a consistent presence on the Wildcats defense in his first season with the team. He started eight games at Linebacker and appeared in all 11. He was the team's leading tackler with 74 (35 solo, 39 assisted), which was second most in the GNAC. He also tallied 5.5 tackles for loss to go along with 2.0 sacks. Hunt also forced one fumble and recovered another during the year. He broke up one pass and had one quarterback hurry on the year. Hunt finished with double-digit tackles in two games, including a career-best 18 against Western Oregon on Sept. 28. This is Hunt's first career All-GNAC selection. - Central Washington Football

  2019 ALL-GNAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Tyren Sams, Central Washington, DB, Sr., Bellevue, Wash. (Bellevue),...Sams was a menace in the secondary for the Wildcats at Cornerback. He played in 10 games this season and was a starter in nine. He finished tied for the conference lead in interceptions with five on the year, which was also tied for 19th in all of Division II during the regular season. His 53 return yards on those five picks was second most in the GNAC. Sams also totaled 34 tackles this season, with 23 coming on a solo effort. He also had 1.0 tackle for loss, a sack, and broke up five passes. His five interceptions this season were a career-high as were his 34 total tackles. He tallied a team-best 18 punt returns and racked up 59 yards total. His longest return went for 15 yards and he averaged 3.3 yards per return. Mizutani also had seven tackles for the year as a Special Teams players. Six were solo tackles while just one was assisted. (Wilson),...Greer had a solid year all-around leading the CWU defense to be named GNAC Defensive Player of the Year. He finished as the GNAC leader in sacks with 7.0. His 23.5 career sacks also rank third most all-time in CWU history. He also led the GNAC in tackles for loss with 11.5 and tallied 47 yards in those tackles. Greer also had three forced fumbles to lead the GNAC this year. He racked up 41 total tackles on the year (20 solo, 21 assisted), forced three fumbles, and recovered one. Both players were key components in an offense that produced a top-10 offense in total yards, along with one of the Division II best rushers and arguably the conference's best quarterback in the latter half of the 2019 regular season. (Coupeville),...Streubel was the anchor on the Wildcats offensive line and helped lead one of Division II's most prolific offenses yet again to earn GNAC Offensive Lineman of Year honors. He helped guide the CWU offense to 504.7 yards of total offense per game, which led the GNAC and ranked ninth in Division II. The Wildcats ground game also produced 211.6 yards per game and 293.1 passing yards per game. Both averages were in the top-30 in Division II during the regular season. The CWU offensive line also allowed just 13 sacks the whole season, a mark that ranked 13th in Division II in the regular season. He was second in the GNAC in both average yards per catch at 16.6 and receiving yards per game at 72.3, while his 795 total receiving yards also ranked second. He was third in receptions per game at 4.4 and fourth receiving touchdowns with five. He had a career-high in receptions, yards, and touchdowns against Azusa Pacific on Oct. 12 with 10 catches for 177 yards and three touchdowns.   2019 ALL-GNAC FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Patrick Hegarty, Central Washington, K, So., Ferndale, Wash. (Simon Fraser Univ.),...Hegarty handled all the kicking duties for CWU in the final six games of the season and was the go-to punter the whole season. When it came to point scored via the kicking game, Hegarty led the GNAC in points scored with 58 on 37-40 made PATs and 7-9 made field goals, a feat he accomplished in just six games when handling field goal and PAT kicking duties. His 77.8 field goal percentage 92.5 PAT kick percentage also led the GNAC, respectively. He was second in PATs attempted and made, and his 1,854 total punt yards was second most in the GNAC. He nailed a career-long field goal of 41 yards on Oct. 26 in a win against Simon Fraser. This is Hegarty's first career All-Conference honor. - Central Washington Football

  NOV 11 GNAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Patrick Rogers (Central Washington, DB, 5-11, Fr., Tacoma, Wash., Lincoln): Rogers had two of the Wildcats' four interceptions in the 72-17 rout of Southwest Baptist on Saturday. He ran his fourth-quarter interception back 85 yards for a touchdown. In addition, Rogers finished with three tackles as the Wildcats limited Southwest Baptist to 252 yards of total offense.
